“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” - John 14:6
Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
• Jesus is the way to a life of purpose.
• Jesus is the truth about what matters in life.
• Jesus gives life in the soul, which is eternal life and freedom from sin.
• No other religion has a living leader who rose from the dead,
• Who is victorious over Satan and evil spirits,
• Who can heal broken hearts,
• And can set captives free from addictions, bitterness, anxiety, and loneliness.
• Jesus can bring people out of the darkness of mental oppression into the light of peace and rest.
• He knows your thoughts all the time.
• He governs over the nations.
• Only Jesus can save your soul for eternity and write your name in the Book of Life.
About 2000 years ago, Jesus chose to leave His heavenly dwelling, take on flesh and blood, and come to the earth as a babe of lowly birth. By suffering cruel mocking and death, and by shedding His innocent blood as a sacrifice for the cost of our sins, He proved His love for all mankind and opened the door for access to God the Father. He paved the Way for souls to approach God and to become born again to be children of God. This is the Way of repentance, faith, believing, surrender, and transformation to a Christ-like nature.
After Jesus’ crucifixion, He resurrected from the grave, triumphing over death! He then ascended back to Heaven and is reigning as King of kings and Lord of lords.
In the moral decay of the world around us, it can seem like Satan is winning out. So how can we claim that Jesus is in control and reigning over all? As men accomplish greater advancements in military intelligence, computer technology, communication, and medicine, we acknowledge that these accomplishments are only done by the ability given them by their Creator. Taking credit to themselves for greatness, men are becoming more distant from God and spiritually weaker, living in fear. Jesus in mercy is calling all men to repentance in spite of their turning away from Him. As spiritual darkness grows, Jesus will receive glory through the sufferings of the faithful believers that are able to endure to the end by the power of His grace.
In John 5:22 we read that God has committed all judgment unto Jesus, His Son. The very man who gave His life to redeem us from perishing in Hell has become the One who will judge our eternal destiny. Shall we not fall down before Him to acknowledge His power and to worship Him?
I Cor 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ [Jesus]; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
Rev 5:13 “And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto {Jesus] the Lamb for ever and ever.”
Men who put their trust in money, false gods, and self-worship, are thinking that their “god” is the right way to worship and to live. They will be sadly disappointed. Some day they will fall on their knees and worship Jesus as Lord of all.
Jesus is coming again, and the end of time will be dreadful for those who don’t know Him as their Lord and Savior.
Rev 6:15-17 “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
That “Great Day” is coming when the earth will melt with a fervent heat. The security of prosperous global corporations and the invincible military forces of the strongest nations will perish. Governments of the world will fail, and there will be no place of safety. But Jesus’ followers will have been raptured at His second coming and will rest securely in eternal bliss.
